The Evening with the Dogfather - thankyou!

Thank you so much to everyone who came along last night to Graeme’s seminar. It seems a fab time was had by all! I’m looking forward to welcoming the transformed ‘Stepford’ style dogs into the shop soon! Haha!

Look out for the Dogfather himself in the coming weeks as he swaps dog collars for sequins (should’ve come to Barkitty where you can combine the two) to take part in Northampton’s Strictly Come Dancing! GOOD LUCK GRAEME!

Lily's cooked up a storm

Lily’s Kitchen has been a firm favourite in store since we opened Barkitty, but I have only now decided to list their products on the website and share the love!

The Forget-me-Knots are always on hand in store to persuade (bribe) little wriggly doggies to stay still as I fit them in harnesses, collars etc – and they are always well received. In fact, if you could zoom out of most of my Facebook photographs you would find a hand filled with LK treats just out of shot 99% of the time!

The products speak for themselves, and your pup’s reaction will show you everything you need to know

There are savings to be made if you buy four 1kg packs, but please enquire on 01327 349328 if you’d be interested in buying these in even higher quantities for bigger savings.

Available to buy online this week … www.barkitty.co.uk

Shake & Bake Baby!

I have had my chef’s hat on today (not literally, although it would cover up my Lily Savage style roots), and have been baking up some Shake & Bake doggy cakes in store!

Well, when I say ‘baking’, I am giving myself too much credit really as the Shake & Bake are so easy to make. You literally chuck in the packet of mixture and fill with water up to the line inside. Then you shake it like a Polaroid picture for 30 seconds-ish and distribute evenly into the cake cases provided!

Easy Peasy!

Just when you thought you couldn't be any more marvellous in your dogs eyes - you just did!

Animology Fox Poo shampoo!

Yesterday Barkitty had a staff teambuilding and bonding day out – or to put it more simply, I took my Mum along to the PATS show in Harrogate.

I was so pleased to find the Animology stand, as I had heard about a fantastic product they make, which I think could be the answer to many of my customer’s prayers. One of the biggest complaints I am likely to hear is “my dog has rolled in fox poo, and I just can’t get the smell out of his/her fur”. Animology actually make a ‘Fox Poo’ shampoo, designed to remove stubborn fox poo and its foul odour from your dog’s coat.

As most dog owners know it isn’t just fox poo that dogs like to roll in; if it’s sticky, slimy or stinky a dog will roll in it. Fox Poo shampoo can also be used to remove poo from other animals including sheep, ducks, badgers and cows.

Fox Poo shampoo is not only tough on odour, it will also enrich your dog’s coat using Pro-Vitamin B5 (you’ve heard of that from the Pantene adverts) and conditioners to transform your beloved pet from a stinky monster back into a wonderfully clean and fragrant member of the family.

Also from the Animology range we have bought the ‘Back to Black’ for black dogs and ‘White Wash’ for white dogs, which do what they say on the tin. Both enriched with vitamins, they contain optical enhancers which increase the intensity of the colour. Soon to be tested on black Lab Paddy, and little JRT Bobby – we’ll show you the results. Maybe a before and after – like the Head & Shoulders adverts!!

The principle of the Animology range is simple - to make the best pet and grooming products that deliver world class results, at affordable prices.
Animology is a multi-award winning range of products having been voted "Best Pet Product 2010" and "Best Grooming Product 2012" in the UK. Animology is also the Official Shampoo and Spray Range of Groom Team England.
Trusted and used by professional groomers, award winning show dog owners and millions of pet owners around the world, you can rely on Animology to take good care of your pet.

And even better, it’s made in England!

So call instore, or visit www.barkitty.co.uk to buy these. All £5 each
