Thanks to everyone who entered the Great Barkitty
Bake Off this year! Several magnificent entries were placed, featuring gravy
bones, mashed potatoes and celery ‘trees’; and the difficult job of judging a
winner was given to BBC Radio Northampton DJ and baking enthusiast, Bernie
Keith. After careful consideration he chose to crown Helen
Davis, from Thrapston, the winner.
Bernie
said of the entries “they’re all very good and I’m sure not one would last half
a minute with Riles [his Schnauzer]”
Their
prize was a luxury gift bundle from Barkitty, along with a voucher to spend on
delicacies at The Larder Deli, in Castle Ashby. Following the success of the
event, hosted online we hope to run the competition every year, envisioning it
will only get better and better!
